The perfect suitcase for the rigors of airline travel. The Airporter is a semi hard-sided suitcase with plenty of protective internal padding. It is large enough to fit any of our 16" or 20" bikes when folded. It will also accept our 26" bikes with the wheels removed and placed inside next to the folded frame. The Airporter features rugged straps and zippers and bomb-proof in-line skate wheels.

The Airporter suitcase has a measurement of 73 linear inches. However the airlines have set a limit of 62 linear inches. This may mean that you will be charged an oversize luggage fee. We have traveled extensively with the Airporter suitcase, and fortunately, as yet, have not been charged for having oversize luggage. It largely depends on which airline you use and how strictly they enforce the baggage size rules. Another factor that may play a part depends on which routes you fly. If you are flying to some popular tourist destinations, security may be heightened and more attention will be paid to the size of your luggage.

Airporter Mini

Finally the Airporter Mini becomes available. The Airporter Mini requires some dissambly of 16 and 20 inch bikes (much more dissasembly required for 24 and bigger ) but its Airline legal. The Outside dimensional measurements are 555mm(22)x700mm(27.5)x300mm(11.8)=62 linear inches.

El Bolso

The inspiration for El Bolso comes from the bags used by farmers in El Salvador, the home country of our bag designer. El Bolso replaces our venerable DoublePlay carry bag and is designed for convenient transport of our Dahon bikes. El Bolso is incredibly easy to use: unfold it and lay it on the ground, place the bike in the middle of the bag, pick up the sides of the bag, and sling it over your shoulder. The entire operation takes only a few seconds - just what you need when you are rushing to catch a train. When you are riding your bike, El Bolso rolls up to pack into it's own bag that slings across your shoulders. Made from IronGrid nylon. One size fits all Dahon bikes.

Carry-on Bag

New in 2010 is this nifty saddlebag which holds a tough Nylon parashoot bag. The bag has a carrying strap built in. The bike hangs in the straps and everything is covered by the nylon cover.... Hard to explain but rather ingenoius.

Stow Bag

New in 2010. The Stow Bag is portable storage for a Dahon bicycle. Its made from rugged polyester, heavy duty zippers, robust seat-belt webbing, and 5 mm of dense padding for protection. Internal zip pockets hold a pair of detachable pedals or a set of tools. Perfect for train or bus trips when you are bringing along your bike, or for storing your bike in your car, apartment, or boat. The Stow Bag will fit most 16, 20 and 24 Dahon bicycles.

New in 2010. The Body Bag is a long and flat storage bag for a Dahon bicycle. Its perfect for use in storage lockers, closets, or behind your sofa. You can slide it under your bed or even hang it off the back of a door. Its suitable for bike rental stores or tour outfits that need to pack bikes quickly and compactly for storage or transit to a ride location. Made from rugged polyester, robust seat belt webbing, and dense foam padding. Comes with its own hanging hook.
